Gratitude, Discernment, and the Escalation of Power (Śvā–Dvipī–Vyāghra–Nāga–Siṃha–Śarabha Itihāsa)
तस्यर्षेरुपविष्टस्थ पादमूले महामते । मनुष्यवद्गतो भावो स्नेहबद्धों& भवद् भूशम्
tasyarṣer upaviṣṭastha-pādamūle mahāmate | manuṣyavad gato bhāvo sneha-baddho ’bhavad bhūśam ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—હે મહામતે! તે મહર્ષિના પાદમૂળે બેઠેલા તે કૂતરાના મનમાં મનુષ્ય સમાન સ્નેહભાવ ઊપજ્યો. તે ઋષિ પ્રત્યે અત્યંત પ્રેમથી દૃઢ રીતે બંધાઈ ગયું.
