Gratitude, Discernment, and the Escalation of Power (Śvā–Dvipī–Vyāghra–Nāga–Siṃha–Śarabha Itihāsa)
ततो<भ्ययान्महावीर्यों द्वीपी क्षजभोजन: । स्वार्थमत्यन्तसंतुष्ट: क्रूरकाल इवान्तक:
tato 'bhyayān mahāvīryo dvīpī kṣajabhojanaḥ | svārtham atyantasaṃtuṣṭaḥ krūrakāla ivāntakaḥ ||
ત્યારબાદ એક દિવસે મહાબલી, માંસભોજી ચિત્તો પોતાના લાભથી અત્યંત પ્રસન્ન થઈ તે કૂતરાને પકડવા માટે એ તરફ દોડી આવ્યો—ક્રૂર કાળ સમાન, યમ સમાન.
