भीमसेनस्य कौरवसुतवधः तथा श्रुतर्वावधः

प्रभिन्नकुम्भांस्तु बहून् द्रवरमाणानितस्तत: । पतमानांश्व सम्प्रेक्ष्य वित्रेसुस्तव सैनिका:,कुम्भस्थल फट जानेके कारण इधर-उधर भागते और गिरते हुए बहुत-से हाथियोंको देखकर आपके सैनिक संत्रस्त हो उठे

prabhinnakumbhāṁs tu bahūn dravamāṇān itas tataḥ |
patamānāṁś ca samprekṣya vitresus tava sainikāḥ ||
સંજય બોલ્યા—કુંભસ્થળ ફાટેલા ઘણા ગજોને ચારે તરફ દોડતા અને દોડતાં-દોડતાં પડી જતા જોઈ તમારા સૈનિકો ભયથી કંપી ઊઠ્યા।
