Phala of Vrata, Niyama, Svādhyāya, Dama, Satya, Brahmacarya, and Service (व्रत-नियम-स्वाध्याय-दम-सत्य-ब्रह्मचर्य-शुश्रूषा-फलप्रश्नः)

शुद्धों हार्थो नावमन्यस्व धर्मान्‌ पात्रे देयं देशकालोपपन्ने । तस्माद्‌ गावस्ते नित्यमेव प्रदेया मा भूच्च ते संशय: कश्चिदत्र

śuddho hy artho nāvamanyasva dharmān pātre deyaṃ deśa-kālopapanne | tasmād gāvas te nityam eva pradeyā mā bhūc ca te saṃśayaḥ kaścid atra ||

“ધર્મ નિર્દોષ છે; તેની અવગણના ન કર. યોગ્ય દેશ-કાળ પ્રાપ્ત થાય ત્યારે સુપાત્રને દાન આપવું જોઈએ. તેથી તારે નિત્ય ગોદાન કરવું યોગ્ય છે; આ વિષયમાં તારા મનમાં કોઈ સંશય ન રહે.”
