Vipulopākhyāna—Ruci-rakṣā and Śakra’s Māyā (विपुलोपाख्यानम्—रुचिरक्षणं शक्रमाया च)
अपीडयन् भूत्यवर्गमित्येवमनुशुश्रुम । पीडयन् भृत्यवर्ग हि आत्मानमपकर्षति
apīḍayan bhṛtyavargam ity evam anuśuśruma | pīḍayan bhṛtyavargaṁ hi ātmānam apakarṣati ||
અમે એવું જ સાંભળ્યું છે કે જેમના ભરણપોષણનો ભાર પોતાના પર છે, તે આશ્રિતવર્ગને કષ્ટ આપ્યા વિના દાન કરવું જોઈએ. કારણ કે જે ભૃત્યવર્ગને પીડિત કરીને દાન કરે છે, તે ખરેખર પોતાને જ અધોગતિમાં ધકેલે છે.
