देवार्थ पितृयज्ञार्थमन्नं श्रद्धाउ55हतं मया । न दत्तमर्थकामेन देयमन्नं पुरा किल

Transliteration

devārthaṁ pitṛyajñārtham annaṁ śraddhayā ujjhitaṁ mayā | na dattam arthakāmena deyam annaṁ purā kila ||

Translation

પૂર્વજન્મમાં હું દેવકાર્ય અને પિતૃયજ્ઞ માટે શ્રદ્ધાપૂર્વક અન્ન એકત્ર કરતો; પરંતુ ધનના લોભે, જે અન્ન દાનયોગ્ય હતું તેનું પણ દાન મેં કર્યું નહીં.
