गुप्त शरणमाश्रित्य भयेषु शरणागता: । अकस्मात्‌ ते मया त्यक्ता न त्राता अभयैषिण:

Transliteration

gupta-śaraṇam āśritya bhayeṣu śaraṇāgatāḥ | akasmāt te mayā tyaktā na trātā abhayaiṣiṇaḥ ||

Translation

ભયના સમયે નિર્ભયતા મેળવવાની ઇચ્છાથી ઘણા શરણાર્થીઓ મારી પાસે આવતા. હું તેમને ગુપ્ત સુરક્ષિત આશ્રયસ્થાને પહોંચાડીને પણ અચાનક ત્યાંથી કાઢી મૂકતો; શરણાગતોનું રક્ષણ કરતો ન હતો.
