ततोडअर्जुनस्य भुजयोर्वीर्यमप्रतिमं भुवि । ज्ञात्वा वैकर्तनः कर्ण: संरब्ध: समयोधयत्
tato 'rjunasya bhujayor vīryam apratimaṃ bhuvi | jñātvā vaikartanaḥ karṇaḥ saṃrabdhaḥ samayodhayat ||
ત્યારે પૃથ્વી પર અર્જુનના ભુજબળની સમતા નથી એમ જાણી સૂર્યપુત્ર વૈકર્તન કર્ણ ક્રોધથી ઉગ્ર બની દૃઢતાથી તેની સાથે યુદ્ધ કરવા લાગ્યો।
