Kāma hath smitten down those rivals of mine who would have made for me a wide domain for thriving. Let the four quarters bow unto me; let the six broad regions bring hither ghee for me.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (hymn-level attribution varies in Anukramaṇī)
Devata: Kāma (and subordinately the Directions/Regions)
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like cadence (AV mixed; often treated as triṣṭubh in this section)
Primary: vira
Secondary: raudra
