Sukta 18
यो दे॑वाः कृ॒त्यां कृ॒त्वा हरा॒दवि॑दुषो गृ॒हम्। व॒त्सो धा॒रुरि॑व मा॒तरं॒ तं प्र॒त्यगुप॑ पद्यताम्
yó devāḥ kṛtyā́ṃ kṛtvā́ harā́d avidúṣo gṛhám | vatsó dhā́rur iva mātáraṃ táṃ pratyág úpa padyatām ||
Whoso, O Gods, hath framed the witchcraft, stealing upon the house of him that knew it not—like a calf that clings and hastens to its mother, let it go back and step upon that man.
હે દેવો! જે કોઈ કૃત્યાને (જાદુ-કર્મને) રચીને, અજાણ માણસના ઘરમાં ચોરીછૂપી ઘૂસી આવે છે—જેમ વાછરડો માતાને ચોંટીને દોડી જાય છે, તેમ તે કૃત્યાએ પાછી વળી જઈ તે જ માણસ પર પગ મૂકે.
