Sukta 8
एषा सनत्नी सनमेव जातैषा पुराणी परि सर्वं बभूव । मही देव्यु१षसो विभाती सैकेनैकेन मिषता वि चष्टे
eṣā́ sanatnī́ sánam evá jātā́ eṣā́ purāṇī́ pári sárvaṃ babhūva | mahī́ devy ùṣásaḥ vibhātī́ sā́ ékena ékena míṣatā ví caṣṭe
This is the ancient one, born from of old; this primeval one hath encompassed all around. Great is the Goddess—Dawn—shining forth: she, one by one, beholds distinctly the living that blink.
આ પ્રાચીન સનાતની છે, આ તો પુરાતનથી જન્મેલી; આ પુરાણી સર્વત્ર પરિભ્રમણ કરીને બધું આવરી લે છે. મહાન દેવી—ઉષા—પ્રકાશિત થઈ ઝળહળે છે; તે એકે કરીને પલક ઝબકાવતાં જીવંત પ્રાણીઓને સ્પષ્ટ રીતે નિહાળે છે.
