Adhyāya 379 — अद्वैतब्रह्मविज्ञानम्
Advaita-brahma-vijñāna
यदा समस्तदेहेषु पुमानेको व्यवस्थितः तदा हि को भवान् कोहमित्येतद्विफलं वचः
yadā samastadeheṣu pumāneko vyavasthitaḥ tadā hi ko bhavān kohamityetadviphalaṃ vacaḥ
જ્યારે એક જ પુરુષ (આત્મા) સર્વ દેહોમાં સ્થિત હોય, ત્યારે ‘તમે કોણ? હું કોણ?’ એવું વચન નિષ્ફળ બને છે।
Lord Agni (instructing sage Vashistha, typical Agni Purana dialogue frame)

Related Themes: Agni Purana 379.21 (karma and embodiment), 379.23 (avoid shabda-bhranti)
It imparts Brahma-vidya/Atma-vidya: the contemplative insight that one conscious Self abides in all bodies, dissolving dualistic self–other distinctions.
Alongside rituals, polity, medicine, and arts, the Agni Purana also preserves Vedantic instruction; this verse exemplifies its philosophical strand by summarizing a core non-dual doctrine in a compact, practical teaching.
Realizing the one Self undermines ego-based separation, reducing hostility and attachment; this supports liberation-oriented conduct (equanimity and non-harm) and weakens karma-binding identification with “I” and “you.”
