Lord Agni (teaching in the Agni Purana’s dialogue framework)
Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Cosmology","secondary_vidya":"Philosophy","practical_application":"Provides a mapped sequence of higher lokas (deva-loka, Savitṛ-loka, Vidyut-loka, Brahma-lokic planes) used for doctrinal study of gati and for meditation on post-mortem ascent.","sutra_style":true}
Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"Description","entry_title":"Devayāna continuation: Devaloka–Savitṛ–Vidyut and approach to Brahmalokas","lookup_keywords":["devaloka","savitrloka","vidyutloka","brahmaloka","manasa gati"],"quick_summary":"After the bright-path stages, the traveler reaches deva realms including Savitṛ and Vidyut; then, ‘by mind alone,’ he approaches Brahma-worldly planes—highlighting subtle (manasa) transit in higher ascent."}
Concept: Higher ascent becomes increasingly subtle; ‘manasa’ approach indicates mind as the vehicle in refined lokas, aligning with Brahmavidyā’s interiorization.
Application: Meditate on the gradation from gross to subtle: discipline mind (manas) as the primary instrument for Brahmaloka-oriented realization; use the sequence as a contemplative ladder.

Related Themes: Agni Purana Moksha-dharma passages on Brahmaloka-gati and lokas (same khanda, surrounding verses)
It teaches a cosmological sequence of post-mortem/meditative ascent—progressing through specific lokas and culminating in entry to Brahma-related realms via mānasa (mind-mediated) movement.
It exemplifies the text’s cataloging of metaphysical geography—naming distinct celestial regions (Devaloka, Savitṛ-loka, Vidyut-loka, Brahmaloka) and indicating a mechanism of access (mānasa-gati), alongside its many other disciplines.
It implies that refined inner attainment enables passage beyond ordinary heavenly enjoyments toward Brahma-associated planes, highlighting the superiority of subtle (mental/spiritual) realization over merely physical or sensory states.
