Concept: From 'root' (mula) to distributed sites: anatomical organization by origin and location; disease terms embedded within structure-lists.
Application: Use location-based reasoning: symptoms in palate/chest relate to specific structural sets; supports systematic examination.

Related Themes: Agni Purana 369 (asthi/anga enumeration; mentions of arbuda within Ayurveda material)
This verse imparts Ayurvedic-leaning anatomical enumeration—locating specific structures (forehead, eyes, cheeks, nose, feet) and giving a counted total for ribs along with related mouth/cranial structures (tālu) and arbuda (glandular swellings).
By cataloging bodily structures with counts and locations, the Agni Purana functions like a compendium that includes medical/anatomical knowledge alongside ritual, dharma, and other sciences—typical of its encyclopedic scope.
While primarily technical, such śarīra-knowledge supports disciplined self-understanding and purity of practice; in Purāṇic framing, knowing the body’s constituents is a foundation for regulated living (ācāra) and spiritually aligned health.
