अल्पाल्पविग्रहं नातिमृदुसन्दर्भनिर्भरं चूर्णकं नाम्तो दीर्घसमासात् कलिका भवेत्

જ્યાં વિગ્રહ (પદવિભાગ) બહુ ઓછો હોય અને અતિમૃદુ સંદર્ભ-બંધાણ પર વધુ નિર્ભરતા ન હોય, તેને ‘ચૂર્ણક’ કહે છે; પરંતુ દીર્ઘ સમાસોથી યુક્ત થાય ત્યારે તે જ ‘કલિકા’ બને છે.
