सावित्रश् चैव सविता जयेन्द्रौ नैरृते ऽम्बुधौ भ्राजते स्थितमिति छ , ज च भवेदिति ग , घ च रुद्रव्याधी च वायव्ये पूर्वादौ कोणगाद्वहिः

sāvitraś caiva savitā jayendrau nairṛte 'mbudhau bhrājate sthitamiti cha , ja ca bhavediti ga , gha ca rudravyādhī ca vāyavye pūrvādau koṇagādvahiḥ

નૈઋત્ય (દક્ષિણ-પશ્ચિમ) દિશામાં સાવિત્ર, સવિતા તથા જય અને ઇન્દ્ર સ્થાપિત થાય છે; ત્યાં જ અંબુધિ (સમુદ્ર) અને ભ્રાજતે પણ સ્થિત છે—એવું કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે. પાઠભેદમાં ક્યાંક ‘જ’ અને ક્યાંક ‘ગ/ઘ’ એવો પાઠ મળે છે. વાયવ્ય (ઉત્તર-પશ્ચિમ) દિશામાં રુદ્ર અને વ્યાધિ (રોગ) છે. પૂર્વથી આરંભ કરીને કોણક્રમમાં આ દેવતાઓની સ્થાપના કરવી।
