FAQs

A physiological/behavioral indicator framed in Ayurvedic garbha-lakṣaṇa: the partner experiences unusually “nectar-like” bodily sensation from the woman’s embrace, reflected in sleep as immediate dreaming and waking—used as an observational sign connected with conception/pregnancy lore.

It exemplifies the text’s Ayurveda compendium style: alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purana records practical human-life knowledge—here, traditional indicators related to conception and bodily experience—showing its broad, encyclopedic scope.

By presenting conception-related signs in a dharmic Purāṇic framework, it implicitly sacralizes household life (gṛhastha) and procreation as orderly, observable processes, encouraging mindful conduct and purity around marital union.
