Related Themes: Agni Purana pūjā-vidhi passages on mantra-arcana and ritual qualifications (adhikāra)
It prescribes a Śaiva ritual marker and procedure: wearing a (preferably) golden mudrikā and performing worship using a Śiva-mantra, presented as conferring snātaka-like ritual qualification even without the formal bath.
It records a compact rule that bridges social/āśrama categories (brahmacārī vs. non-brahmacārī) with ritual eligibility (snātaka status), illustrating how the Agni Purana catalogs practical dharma-and-pūjā procedures alongside theology.
The verse frames Śiva-mantra worship, supported by a visible vow-symbol (mudrikā), as a purifier and qualifier—granting merit and ritual fitness comparable to completing the snāna-saṃskāra.
