Related Themes: Agni Purana: Agneya-vidyā on bīja-mantras, antar-agni, bhūta-śuddhi, and nyāsa sequences leading into protective rites
It teaches bīja-mantra dhyāna: visualizing the fire seed “raṁ” in the heart-lotus and expanding its flames through the body to burn impurities.
Alongside law, medicine, and warfare, the Agni Purana also preserves practical mantra-yoga methods—here, a precise internal ritual (antar-yāga) using bīja, cakra/lotus imagery, and purificatory visualization.
The practice is framed as inner purification: the “flames” symbolically incinerate impurities (mala) and prepare the practitioner for higher mantra-siddhi and spiritual clarity.
