Related Themes: Agni Purana 301 (bhaiṣajya/putra-prāpti formulations sequence)
It gives a practical Ayurvedic formulation step: prepare a thin milk-based mixture and combine specific plant parts—cotton-plant sprouts and apāmārga flower-tips—along with fresh buffalo milk.
Beyond theology, the Agni Purāṇa preserves applied knowledge—here, pharmacological details (plant parts, freshness, and anupāna/vehicle like milk) typical of Ayurvedic recipe-style instruction.
Such prescriptions are traditionally framed as dhārmic care of the body (śarīra-dhāraṇa) supporting purity and the capacity to perform duties; using fresh, sattvic vehicles like milk is also associated with gentle purification.
