FAQs

Ayurvedic dravyaguṇa knowledge: it provides synonym-equivalences for medicinal plants, helping correct identification of herbs across regional names.

It functions like a nighaṇṭu (lexicon of medicinal substances), showing the Agni Purana’s coverage beyond mythology into practical sciences such as Ayurveda and pharmacological nomenclature.

While primarily technical, accurate naming supports correct preparation and ethical use of remedies (avoiding harm), aligning healing practice with dharma and beneficial karma.
