ए इत्य् आदिमहापुराणे आग्नेये सर्वदीक्षाकथनं नाम सप्तविंशोध्यायः पशूनिति घ, चिह्नितपुस्तकपाठः तत् पुनरिति ख, ग, घ, ङ, चिह्नितपुस्तकचतुष्टयपाठः अथ अष्टाविंशोध्यायः अभिषेकविधानं नारद उवाच अभिषेकं प्रवक्ष्यामि यथाचार्यस्तु पुत्रकः सिद्धिभाक् साधको येन रोगी रोगाद्विमुच्यते
e ity ādimahāpurāṇe āgneye sarvadīkṣākathanaṃ nāma saptaviṃśodhyāyaḥ paśūniti gha, cihnitapustakapāṭhaḥ tat punariti kha, ga, gha, ṅa, cihnitapustakacatuṣṭayapāṭhaḥ atha aṣṭāviṃśodhyāyaḥ abhiṣekavidhānaṃ nārada uvāca abhiṣekaṃ pravakṣyāmi yathācāryastu putrakaḥ siddhibhāk sādhako yena rogī rogādvimucyate
આગ્નેય આદિમહાપુરાણમાં સત્તાવીસમો અધ્યાય “સર્વદીક્ષા-કથન” નામે પ્રસિદ્ધ છે (ચિહ્નિત હસ્તપ્રતોમાં પાઠભેદ દર્શાવ્યા છે). હવે અઠ્ઠાવીસમો અધ્યાય “અભિષેક-વિધાન” આરંભે છે. નારદ બોલ્યા—હું અભિષેકનું વર્ણન કરું છું; જેના દ્વારા આચાર્ય અને પુત્રક-સાધક સિદ્ધિ પામે છે અને રોગી રોગથી મુક્ત થાય છે।
