The Prescribed Emergence and Procedure of the Mathurā Circumambulation

Parikramā

उपवासरतः सम्यगल्पमेध्याशनोऽथवा ॥ दन्तकाष्ठं च सायाह्ने कृत्वा शुद्ध्यर्थमात्मनः।

upavāsarataḥ samyag alpamedhyāśano 'thavā || dantakāṣṭhaṁ ca sāyāhne kṛtvā śuddhyartham ātmanaḥ

Qu’il soit dûment adonné au jeûne, ou bien qu’il ne prenne qu’une nourriture légère et pure. Puis, au soir, qu’il accomplisse le rite du dantakāṣṭha (bâtonnet pour les dents) pour sa propre purification.
