Verse 11

Yogatattva

सुखदुःखैः समायुक्तं जीवभावनया कुरु । तेन जीवाभिधा प्रोक्ता विशुद्धैः परमात्मनि ॥११॥

सुख-दुःखैः । समा-युक्तम् । जीव-भावनया । कुरु । तेन । जीव-अभिधा । प्रोक्ता । विशुद्धैः । परम-आत्मनि ॥

sukhaduḥkhaiḥ samāyuktaṃ jīvabhāvanayā kuru | tena jīvābhidhā proktā viśuddhaiḥ paramātmani ||11||

Fais que (cela) soit conjoint au plaisir et à la douleur par la conception d’individualité (jīva-bhāvanā). Ainsi, les êtres purifiés proclament l’appellation « jīva » en référence au Soi suprême (paramātman).

Make (it) conjoined with pleasure and pain by the notion of individuality (jīva-bhāvanā). Therefore the designation ‘jīva’ is declared by the purified (sages) with reference to the Supreme Self (paramātman).
