Agastya (narration continues)
Tirtha: Ayodhyā
Type: kshetra
Scene: Ayodhyā’s skyline with temples and river, suffused with a subtle theophany: Viṣṇu’s presence felt as radiant light, while devotees stand in awe, acknowledging that words fail.
A tīrtha becomes supremely sanctifying where the Lord is said to dwell directly; such glory exceeds ordinary speech.
Ayodhyā—presented as a place of Viṣṇu’s immediate, personal presence.
No specific rite is prescribed; the verse asserts the theological basis for Ayodhyā’s unparalleled sanctity.
