वरं वरय विप्रेन्द्र वरदोऽहं तवाग्रतः । नाऽतप्ततपसा द्रष्टुं शक्यः केनाप्यहं द्विज

varaṃ varaya viprendra varado'haṃ tavāgrataḥ | nā'taptatapasā draṣṭuṃ śakyaḥ kenāpyahaṃ dvija

Le Seigneur Bienheureux dit : Choisis une grâce, ô le meilleur des brahmanes ; je me tiens devant toi comme dispensateur de dons. Sans austérité, ô deux-fois-né, nul ne peut me voir.
