हिमवानुवाच । अद्य मे सफलं जन्म अद्य मे सफलाः क्रियाः । यन्मे साक्षात्त्वमव्यक्ता प्रसन्ना दृष्टिगोचरा । इदानीं किं मया कार्यं तन्मे ब्रूहि महेश्वरि
himavānuvāca | adya me saphalaṃ janma adya me saphalāḥ kriyāḥ | yanme sākṣāttvamavyaktā prasannā dṛṣṭigocarā | idānīṃ kiṃ mayā kāryaṃ tanme brūhi maheśvari
Himavān dit : «Aujourd’hui ma naissance est accomplie; aujourd’hui mes actes ont porté fruit, puisque Toi, l’Inmanifestée (Avyakta), t’es rendue visible à mes yeux par grâce. Que dois-je faire à présent ? Dis-le-moi, ô Maheśvarī.»
