Type: kshetra
Listener: Primary frame audience (sages) / internal interlocutor
Scene: The king surrounded by symbols of vice: overflowing treasury (lobha), raised chin and lifted brow (māna), clenched fist and flaring eyes (mahākrodha). In the background, a deity shrine unattended, a guru figure ignored, brāhmaṇas turned away in sorrow.
Disrespect toward God, guru, and brāhmaṇas—paired with greed and anger—signals moral collapse and invites ruin.
The teaching is embedded in the Vastrāpatha-kṣetra Māhātmya (Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa), though the verse itself is ethical characterization.
