Type: kshetra
Listener: Janamejaya (with Nārada and others present)
Scene: A moral tableau: the world in disorder (viparyaya), and Janārdana appearing as a radiant preserver, subduing the adhārmika force and re-establishing balance.
Adharma is not ultimately self-sustaining; the Purāṇa affirms divine correction to restore balance and protect the righteous.
The verse belongs to the Vastrāpatha-kṣetra Māhātmya of Prabhāsa; it supports the sacred narrative atmosphere rather than naming a rite at the site.
