pītāvaśeṣamamṛtaṃ kasmādyacchaṃti devatāḥ | nāsmākamiti saṃnahya yudhyante ca parasparam
«Pourquoi les dieux ne donnent-ils que l’amṛta restant après avoir bu ?»—ainsi, avec la pensée «ce n’est pas pour nous», ils s’arment et se combattent entre eux.
