dhanyo'haṃ kṛtapuṇyo'haṃ yasya me tvaṃ gṛhāgataḥ | ityukto balinā vipro viveśāsuramaṃdire | āsanaṃ pādyamarghyaṃ ca dattvā saṃpūjito dvijaḥ
Narrator (reporting Bali’s words and the reception of Nārada)
Tirtha: Vastrāpatha-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: (audience of the māhātmya)
Scene: Bali joyfully declares himself blessed; Nārada enters the asura palace; attendants present āsana, pādya, and arghya; the sage is honored.
Merit is earned through honoring the worthy; reverence to a sage sanctifies even an asura’s household.
The broader frame is Vastrāpathakṣetra in Prabhāsa; this verse highlights dharma of reception within that māhātmya narrative.
Offering āsana (seat), pādya (water for feet), and arghya (honor-offering) to an honored guest/Brahmin.
