gaṃgātīre śubhe ramye puṇye janapadākule | ṛṣibhiḥ sevite nityaṃ svargamārgaprade dhruvam

Sur la rive bénie du Gaṅgā—charmante, sainte et foisonnante de bourgades—ce lieu est sans cesse fréquenté par les ṛṣi, et il accorde assurément la voie vers le ciel.
