चंद्र उवाच । यदि प्रसन्नो देवेश वरार्हो यदि वाऽप्यहम् । सोमनाथेति तं नाम भूयाद्ब्रह्मावधि प्रभो
caṃdra uvāca | yadi prasanno deveśa varārho yadi vā'pyaham | somanātheti taṃ nāma bhūyādbrahmāvadhi prabho
Candra dit : «Ô Seigneur des dieux—si Tu es satisfait, et si moi aussi je suis digne d’une grâce—alors, ô Maître, que ce Nom soit “Somnātha”, demeurant jusqu’à la limite même de l’âge de Brahmā.»
