तस्याद्भुतं तपो दृष्ट्वा तुष्टोऽहं तस्य सुन्दरि । वरं वृणीष्वेति मया स च प्रोक्तो निशाकरः
tasyādbhutaṃ tapo dṛṣṭvā tuṣṭo'haṃ tasya sundari | varaṃ vṛṇīṣveti mayā sa ca prokto niśākaraḥ
Voyant son austérité merveilleuse, ô belle, je fus satisfait de lui. «Choisis une grâce», lui dis-je ; et c’est ainsi que je m’adressai à Niśākara (la Lune).
