Tirtha: Somnātha at Prabhāsa
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī/Pārvatī
Scene: Śiva’s liṅga at Prabhāsa radiates a cool lunar aura; the word ‘Someśa’ appears as a luminous inscription, with Parvatī receiving the teaching.
The Lord’s names are not arbitrary—they reveal His cosmic role and the special sanctity of the kṣetra where He is worshipped.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, the famed Somnāth/Someśvara region celebrated in the Prabhāsa Khaṇḍa.
No explicit rite is prescribed in this verse; it focuses on the kṣetra’s theological naming tradition.
