Unknown (contextual narrator within Prabhāsakṣetra Māhātmya)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (Ratneśvara worship)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A pilgrim at Prabhāsa offers water with sesame (tarpaṇa) while the Ratneśvara shrine glows behind; subtle ancestral figures—paternal and maternal—rise in light, indicating uplift.
Merit gained in a supreme tīrtha can extend beyond oneself, benefiting both paternal and maternal ancestral lines.
Prabhāsa Kṣetra, presented as conferring the merit of all other tīrthas.
The verse highlights ancestral uplift (uddhāra) as a result of tīrtha-merit; it aligns with śrāddha/tarpaṇa intent though not named explicitly here.
