Type: kshetra
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Īśvara instructs Mahādevī; a pilgrim path leads to a small shrine labeled Maṇḍūkeśvara; priests prepare for consecration remembrance of Māṇḍūkyāyana.
Sacred places are authenticated through consecration lineages; visiting them with faith is part of the Purāṇic path of tīrtha-yātrā.
Maṇḍūkeśvara in Prabhāsa Kṣetra, with a liṅga known as Māṇḍūkyāyana.
The instruction is to go/visit (gacchet) the shrine; the verse foregrounds the liṅga’s pratiṣṭhā (consecration).
