Type: kshetra
Scene: A celestial assembly addresses a primordial being as ‘elder of all beings,’ urging him to accept a brought fire to fulfill the gods’ purpose; the oceanic horizon and ritual fire imagery foreshadow the Vāḍava fire episode.
Those who sustain the world must also shoulder responsibility for cosmic balance; service to dharma includes accepting difficult duties.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where the mythic handling of the Vāḍava fire becomes part of the region’s sacred narrative.
No direct ritual; the verse commands acceptance of a consecrated ‘vahni’ as a divine duty rather than a human rite.
