ततस्तेन हृदिस्थेन प्रोक्ता देवी सरस्वती । प्रार्थनीयो वरो भद्रे सूचीवक्त्रत्वमादरात्

tatastena hṛdisthena proktā devī sarasvatī | prārthanīyo varo bhadre sūcīvaktratvamādarāt

Alors, par Celui qui demeurait en son cœur, la Déesse Sarasvatī fut instruite : «Ô bienheureuse, demande comme grâce—avec ferveur—d’avoir une bouche fine comme une aiguille.»
