एवमुक्ता हि सा तेन विष्णुना प्रभविष्णुना । आह नाहं स्वतन्त्रास्मि पिता मे ध्रियते चिरात्

evamuktā hi sā tena viṣṇunā prabhaviṣṇunā | āha nāhaṃ svatantrāsmi pitā me dhriyate cirāt

Ainsi interpellée par le puissant Viṣṇu, elle répondit : « Je ne suis pas indépendante ; depuis longtemps mon père exerce son autorité sur moi. »
