Vibhu (the Lord; contextually Viṣṇu as commander in the scene)
Tirtha: Mahodadhi (Samudra) at Prabhāsa; Gaṅgā invoked as carrier
Type: sangam
Listener: Gaṅgā (within scene); sages/assembly (frame)
Scene: The Lord commands Gaṅgā, standing beside him, to swiftly carry the ‘fire’ to the great ocean, declaring none other can accomplish it without her, the purifier of worlds.
Sacred forces like Gaṅgā are portrayed as uniquely capable channels of purification and safe passage for dangerous energies.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra is the frame; the verse also exalts Gaṅgā’s tīrtha-status as world-purifying.
No explicit ritual; the emphasis is on Gaṅgā’s sanctity and cosmic function.
