Type: kshetra
Scene: Pilgrims behold and worship the Kalaṃbeśvara liṅga; on a rare Monday-Amāvāsyā, a larger gathering forms. Nearby, brāhmaṇas are respectfully seated and served a full meal; the scene blends temple sanctity with charitable hospitality.
Devotion is completed by charity: darśana and pūjā purify, and feeding brāhmaṇas seals the merit, especially on auspicious calendrical conjunctions.
Kalaṃbeśvara in Prabhāsa Kṣetra, where Monday-Amāvāsyā is said to be highly meritorious.
Perform darśana and pūjā of Kalaṃbeśvara; on Monday Amāvāsyā, give vipra-bhojana (feeding brāhmaṇas) at that place for great puṇya.
