प्रणम्य शिरसा सर्वे तामूचुस्ते सुमध्यमाम् । उमे कथय कुत्रस्थं द्रक्ष्यामो रुद्रमेकदा
praṇamya śirasā sarve tāmūcuste sumadhyamām | ume kathaya kutrasthaṃ drakṣyāmo rudramekadā
Tous s’inclinèrent, la tête baissée, et dirent à la Déesse à la taille fine : « Ô Umā, dis-nous où demeure Rudra, afin que nous puissions le contempler ne fût-ce qu’une fois ».
