Skanda (deduced)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa
Type: kshetra
Scene: A pilgrim at Prabhāsa refuses a purse offered as honorarium, then turns to distribute food and cloth to the needy; above, devas receive the offerings as if from a fire-sacrifice, indicating yajña-equivalence and tenfold radiance around the pilgrim’s path.
Renunciation of improper gain elevates pilgrimage; giving (dāna) purifies and pleases the gods like sacrifice.
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where the merit of right conduct during pilgrimage is magnified.
Avoid accepting gifts (pratigrāha) and instead practice dāna; this increases the pilgrimage’s fruit.
