Śambhu dit : « Ô brāhmane, que ton austérité croisse mille fois par ma grâce. Je demeurerai toujours ici, tourné vers l’orient, avec toi. »
Śambhu (Śiva)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: a brāhmaṇa/ṛṣi (addressed as vipra, vatsa)
Scene: Śambhu (Śiva) addresses a brāhmaṇa ascetic, granting a boon that his tapas will increase a thousandfold and vowing to dwell there facing east together with him; the setting evokes coastal Prabhāsa with sacred ambience.
Śiva’s grace not only protects but multiplies spiritual merit; divine companionship sanctifies disciplined life.
Prabhāsakṣetra, affirmed as a place of abiding Śiva-presence and boon-bestowal.
An implied sthāna-niyama is given: Śiva declares he will dwell there ‘prācīm’ (east-facing), indicating sacred orientation and established presence.
