Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Vidura-āśrama / Vidurāṭṭālaka
Type: kshetra
Listener: Mahādevī/Pārvatī
Scene: Śiva instructs Pārvatī about proceeding to Vidura’s vast hermitage; the āśrama is serene yet charged with ‘raudra’ tapas—smoke of austerity, sacred fires, and a dharma-radiant Vidura in meditation.
Holy places are sanctified by the tapas of the righteous; dharma-filled lives leave sacred footprints that guide pilgrims.
Vidurāśrama (Vidura’s hermitage) in Prabhāsa Kṣetra.
A directive to visit the āśrama-tīrtha; the verse highlights tapas as the source of sanctity.
