Candra (Soma)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra (Somnātha region)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Candra respectfully hands over a Śiva-liṅga received from Śambhu to Viśvakarman, requesting installation in a fitting sacred place; the moment is solemn, ritualistic, and charged with divine authority.
A sacred gift from Śiva should be honored through proper establishment in a worthy place, reflecting reverence and dharmic order.
Prabhāsa Kṣetra, as the setting for the Liṅga’s installation.
The core prescription is liṅga-niveśana (installation/enshrinement) in a yukta-sthāna (proper site).
