उक्त्वा ते तु पुनर्बालं वीक्ष्य वै क्षीणजीवितम् । दिनानि पंच ते ह्यायुर्ज्ञात्वा भीतास्ततोऽनृतात्

uktvā te tu punarbālaṃ vīkṣya vai kṣīṇajīvitam | dināni paṃca te hyāyurjñātvā bhītāstato'nṛtāt

Mais après avoir parlé ainsi, ils regardèrent de nouveau l’enfant et virent que sa vie déclinait. Sachant qu’il ne lui restait que cinq jours, ils craignirent que leur bénédiction ne se révèle mensongère.
