Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Amareśvara (deva-pratiṣṭhita liṅga in Prabhāsa-kṣetra)
Type: temple
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: Śiva (Īśvara) instructs Devī: a divine couple in a Himalayan-like divine court, pointing toward a coastal sacred map/vision of Prabhāsa; a radiant liṅga ‘established by the gods’ appears in a vision, surrounded by devas.
Knowing the sanctity of the kṣetra and approaching its deity is presented as a direct means to overcome even major moral impurities.
Amareśvara (the deva-installed liṅga) within Prabhāsakṣetra.
Visit the deva-established liṅga as part of the prescribed tīrtha-yātrā.
