एवमुक्तः स पार्वत्या देवदेवो महेश्वरः । उवाच परमप्रीतः प्रेम्णा शैलसुतां प्रभुः
evamuktaḥ sa pārvatyā devadevo maheśvaraḥ | uvāca paramaprītaḥ premṇā śailasutāṃ prabhuḥ
Ainsi interpellé par Pārvatī, Maheśvara—Dieu des dieux—prit la parole. Le Seigneur, comblé de joie, répondit avec tendresse à la Fille de la Montagne.
